The Government doesn't force women to make pregnancy choices; in the same way the Government doesn't force men to marry each other. By maintaining Roe v. Wade, the Federal Government restores a great deal of power to the individual—the power of choice. I agree with J. McGuire that the Government should not mandate the social climate of the country, that’s why they should let the American people decide the path of, “the evolving standards of decency,” as Chief Justice Warren might say. As Scalia has said, "The Court [should not] proclaim itself sole arbiter of our Nation’s moral standards". He’s correct! That's why the people who campaign for the restriction of liberty—the restriction of choice—hold the burden to prove its necessity.

see what happens when government and religion get confused. Taking away abortion options without filling the void for much needed support programs for young mothers is akin to shooting them all in the foot and telling them to run.There will still be premartial sex, unwanted pregnancies, and children having babies, especially since teaching abstenience as a form of birth control doesn't really work.
