That's not as scary as C-SPAN today... the Judeo-Christian Coalition was rallying support for their website, www.stopactivistjudges.org. They were talking about how America needs to be returned to its founding principles.
Someone should tell them that the founding fathers were imperfect (slave-owning) douches, they created an imperfect document, but luckily they realized it and gave us the power to amend their decisions. We don't need to return to our founding principles; we need to interpret the Constitution according to our modern values. Fuck the framers.
Anyway... if the far-right manages to get rid of the independent judiciary, I'm getting a quick exit visa to Japan. Luckily, the President has backed away from such extremism, and Tom DeLay's remarks are going to get him dumped overboard by the GOP.
